This is a major question across the board in the fitness industry. Cheat meals are not a bad thing. When you eat clean five days a week your metabolism adapts to the clean foods. Having a cheat meal on Saturday will shock your metabolism causing it to speed up which helps avoid a plateau. Cheat meals are also good for keeping your sanity. Everyone has that certain food they enjoy, but definitely is not the healthiest option. A helpful trick is to turn that food into a reward, turn it into something that you look forward to eating on the weekend, but keep it in moderation. Just because you change your lifestyle doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy your life. You want to find that healthy balance otherwise you become too hard on yourself which makes life harder than it needs to be. Nobody is perfect so strive for progress!
